Miami Beach is synonymous with fashion. All aspects of this gorgeous city by the ocean are visually stimulating. With the plethora of new hotels and even newer night life, Miami is a feast for the eyes and home to many fashion elite.
It's no wonder designers out of Miami Beach have such a laid back and colorful look when designing.
On my recent trip to South Beach, I soaked in the atmosphere and visited the many different shops from Ocean Drive to Lincoln Road. For years many of the little boutiques remain the same and capture the Miami style of glitz and glamour. Rhinestone studded T-shirts and shiny encrusted belts were prominent throughout the tiny shops.
It's such a different sense of fashion from Fairfield County and it's quite obvious even still to this day a designer like Gianni Versace has made a long lasting impression on the beautiful city.
But when visiting Miami you can find many of the exquisite shops that make you feel at home in Bal Harbor. Shops like Greenwich Avenue's Anne Fontaine and Scoop are only a short car ride away from the tourist hustle of South Beach.
The evenings can be spent in South Beach enjoying drinks at the Satai Hotel's outside garden with Asian inspired aesthetics and dining at restaurant's like Phillippe at the new Gansoovort Hotel. Both venues host impeccable service and a calming, classy atmosphere.
I suggest visiting the many art galleries on Lincoln Road for inspiration and culture.
Miami Beach will always be an eclectic city full of beautiful art and tourism that will keep people coming back for more.
