In these tough times where everyone is watching their spending we may find it hard to find good quality clothing at a low price.  Even with all the retail stores slashing their prices left and right,  we still want to save money and stay on top of our budget.
We want to look and feel great without breaking the bank.

Yesterday I dropped off some clothing for donation at The Goodwill.  Usually I just drive up to the back of the building, hand the workers my bags and they give me a ticket for tax deductions.  Curious to see what happens to my donated treasures I decided to go inside.  The racks were all neatly divided into sections for top, dresses, pants, shoes, purses and household items all in separate rows.  The place was jam packed with men, women and children all scouring the isles and trying on garments in the fitting room.

Drawn to the huge sign that said "All clothing and shoe's half off today" I immediately picked up an orange tag on a beautiful floral Banana Republic dress in front of me that was priced at $14.99.  At half off it came to $7.50 AND it still had on it's original manufacturers ticket priced at $89.  My eyes almost fell out of my face.

Continuing down the isles I couldn't believe how many of the garments were actually never worn and even the ones that had been worn were in outstanding shape.  I even found really cool vintage tees, blazers and a fabulous Gloria Vanderbilt wedding gown for under $100.

The best thing about the Goodwill is the revenues from the sale of the clothing fund job training and other services to prepare people for job success.  More than 84 percent of Goodwill’s total revenues are used to fund education, career services, and other critical community programs.

I left with an amazing NEVER USED vintage Colini Handbag (not sure if it's real or not but it doesn't matter because it's just so freaking CUTE) for $6!!!!
