What to Wear to a Polo Match

If you have seen the movie "Pretty Woman" in your lifetime it perfectly depicts what one should wear to a Polo Match. On my recent outing to the Greenwich Polo Clubs opening day, I found myself surprisingly under dressed. I wore a J. Crew sun dress and totted a wicker purse.
The men were dressed in luxurious linen suits and women in heels and fabulous sun hats. I may have forgotten my sun hat at home but I sure wouldn't return in heels. You're walking on moist grass the whole time and many women were struggling to avoid sinking while "stomping the divots".
If you want a heel I would definetly chose a wedge instead because it's far more grass friendly.
Many couples and families brought picnic blankets along with baskets full of wine and tasty treats.
There were maybe five people there wearing jeans and they were all family members of the gentlemen riding in the match.
It's truly a visually fashionable saturated experience and I recommend it to all!
