Duck Tape and Gossip Magazine Dress
Lia Pereira model
I was merchandising the windows at my boutique in the small town of Rye NY, when I saw this girl walk by in a dress made entirely of duck tape and gossip magazines.
I'm not usually a fan of "project runway" like attempts at design but this dress was outstanding.
So I ran outside and gave the designer who had accompanied the model my business card and told her to email me pics of the dress.
All I know about the designer is that she is just starting out. Hopefully she will send me some more background info on herself so I can share it with all of you.
The designer clearly is doing something right by parading this fabulous dress around a stuffy town like Rye with a GORGEOUS and statuesque model. She sure got my attention and in fashion it's usually about getting noticed.
Two thumbs up to Sarah Salice and her model Lia Pereira.
If I get anymore info on the two of them I will be sure to update everyone.

History repeats itself! Fashion tends to go around in cycles. Designers Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren were doing this sort of thing in London in the late 1970s. It was called punk chic back then.
