New York Fashion Week - Spring 2010 Collections
It's that fabulous and fun time of year ladies and gents. NEW YORK FASHION WEEK has arrived.
So I will go through my highlights of each designer and give my "unfiltered" opinion as I always do TEE - HEE.
I will start with a couple of designers at a time.
First up...
BCBG Max Azria

At first looking at this collection I found the bright yet cool colors and patterns a little nauseating but towards the end they started to grow on me.
Ultra Avant-garde! The asymmetrical designs can't be carried off by just anyone... curvy girls beware.
All in all it's a typical collection for BCBG. I like it but I'm not "wowed".
Elie Tahari

I'm loving the "almost" safari chic sportswear in this collection. It's cool yet sexy. The colors are dead right. Cute hats paired with jackets over dresses...screams "don't bother me I'm headed somewhere fabulous".

This look was a complete blast from the late 80's early 90's. I love it!

But this little golden ensemble hit a sour note and threw me for a loop. NO THANK YOU!
Moving right along......
Jen Kao

When the first garment representing your collection looks like this....pardon me for being so blunt but it screams desperate for attention. Cute shoes though.
Much of the rest of her collection is Avant-garde 90's nakedness and plenty of nipple action. I personally hate when designers purposely make their models look like corpses to try to highlight the clothes...again screams desperation.

Yes MC Hammer pants are here to stay apparently. I personally love this look.

This dress is gorgeous and the best of the collection in my opinion.
What do YOU think about these designs?????????
Feel free to leave your comments... sassy or serious.
Stay tuned for more of my re-cap on the first day of NYC fashion week!

Some of the designs are really cute. They remind me Greek tunics. But I don't like the models they chose for this show: they are grey and impersonal, to my mind.
